Hey I’m John Grimaldi, owner of True North Drone Services.

I started this company in 2018 out of my passion for flying all things radio controlled.  I quickly realized while pretty drone photos were nice, and everywhere, I needed to find a way to provide indisputable value to my clients.

It took a few years of working on all kinds of different projects from single family homes to high-rise condos for me to refine my focus and see where True North Drone Services could really help our clients shine.  During that time, I listened to and learned from my clients, aligning my skills to best serve their needs.

I launched the Trees to Keys Construction Progress Package after realizing the power of drones in construction and how a few well-timed photos from the sky transformed project management, from Progress Update Photos + Video to Drone Mapping.

I’ve mapped over 20,000 acres and have worked with large and small clients providing anything from the raw dataset (GeoTagged Drone Mapping Photos) to Fully Annotated Stockpile and Muck Removal Reports, helping clients calculate important data to keep their projects safe and on track.
